Fasten your seat-belts and trench coats - it’s time for another round of convention fever!

This coming weekend, September 19-21, Random Acts will be at Creation Entertainment’s Salute to Supernatural Dallas (#DallasCon) collecting non-perishable food items for the Vickery Meadow Food Pantry. And we’re challenging you to help us #GetKind.

The Vickery Meadow Neighborhood Alliance Food Pantry provides supplemental food to the low income, largely refugee and immigrant families living in the Vickery Meadow neighborhood of Dallas, Texas. They help 400 families and 2,000 people monthly, half of whom are under seventeen years of age.

We hope you’ll have a chance to stop by our table with an item or two on their wishlist. They accept non-perishable food items and their number one request is for peanutbutter. Drop by our blog to find out more.

We’ll be collecting donations from Friday morning until Sunday at 1:00 pm. Stop by to say hello and be sure to follow us on Twitter for @RASocialMedia. We’ll be tweeting out RA #DallasCon news all weekend.

P.S. Don’t worry! Even if you aren’t able to make it to the convention, you can visit the Vickery Meadow Food Pantry and Clothes Closet at 8448 Walnut Hill Ln Suite 200, Dallas, TX 75231 to drop off donations personally or donate through their website

TFW + cards against humanity (insp)

“I had a moment when I first got on supernatural when I was like, “Oh my god, people are paying attention to me, I have fans, maybe I should cultivate an image and try to seem really cool.” I had this moment of being commercially self conscious and it took maybe a month for me to realize no, this is not who I fucking am, and here’s a picture of me in drag. Which is, by the way, so much more liberating and relaxing. There’s not a more sure fire way to give a stifled, boring, empty, vapid, meaningless interview than trying to say the right thing…”
